Nineteen-year-old Saoirse Webb from Tarmon has been crowned the Rose of Castlerea 2025.
The daughter of Michael and Caroline Webb, Saoirse, was one of seven incredible ladies vying for the coveted title at the Rose Selection Night in the Trinity Arts Centre over the weekend.
A student at DCU (St. Patrick’s College Campus), Saoirse is about to begin her second year studying primary school teaching — a career path that perfectly suits her warm, caring, and bubbly personality. Surrounded by family and friends, she celebrated her win in true festival style.
The crowning of the Castlerea Rose is always one of the standout moments of the Castlerea Rose Festival, and this year’s event was no exception. Saoirse takes over the crown from last year’s winner, Tara Keane, bringing her own ray of sunshine to the role.
Throughout the entire nine-day festival, Saoirse lit up every event with her smile and infectious energy. She impressed the judges in both the individual and group interviews, showing confidence, charm, and a genuine love for her community.
